Full-sized image of the bus and truck.

The school bus is a 1990 Bluebird. We bought it from the Suburban Baptist Church where it was used as a school bus. It still says the school name on the side. Before we can drive it on a public road we need to remove the flashers, stop arm (too bad!) and repaint it. We bought the bus in December 2005. We plan to convert it into an RV, or something. But heck, how many chances do you have to own your own school bus?!?

While researching the bus online we discovered an entire subculture devoted to school bus conversion. Apparently they refer to themselves as "skoolies..."

Here are some other links about school bus conversion:

Currently the bus has a dead battery, but the men who worked on the truck are going to go over the bus for us as well...

Check back later for progress updates!

The utility truck is a 1987 Chevy straight stick which Mary Ellen knows how to drive. Beth is learning - or at least, trying. We bought the truck from our mortgage broker when we bought the house. It needed a little work, so we hired a local guy and his dad to fix it up. And it runs like a dream - provided you know how to drive the damn thing!

Beat up interior of the truck...

Of course, it isn't much to look at, but if you need to haul some stuff around, it'll do!
